We are in receipt of your esteemed letter of 24th inst.,
contents of which we duly note, and your proposal seems to us to be
the most appropriate.

We further noted that you have instructed Messrs.
Eichwede & Schroeder, Tsingtau, to draw upon us an amount of £3,000
for your account at the time of shipment of the goods indicated by
you, and we take it that we shall receive from you special advice
relating thereto.

We further note from your letter that in the event
of one or more important transactions coming into
question later, you will hand us special securities at the time of delivery or documents.

It is customary with us when granting credits to
firms established at different places to make it a condition of
asking all the establishments for a written declaration of their co-
responsibility. In your case it has been omitted at the time of your
establishment in Hamburg to ask you for such a declaration in respect of the credit granted to your Hongkong House, and we would ask
you, for regularity's sake, to confirm to us that you are jointly responsible for the credit in favour of your Hongkong House.
